PHED 125 - Lifeguard TrainingTo teach lifeguards the skills and knowledge needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. Upon satisfactory completion of the course, the student will receive American Red Cross Certifications in Lifeguard Training, Standard First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED Essentials, and Prevention of Disease Transmission. PREREQUISITE(S): Must be at least 15 years of age and must pass a swimming proficiency test on first day of class. Assessment Level(s): AELR 930 /ELAR 980 /READ 099 . Two hours each week.
