TECH 125 - Introduction to Flash A survey of some of the predominant Web animation applications and technologies, such as Flash and ActionScript. This course begins with an overview of drawing and animation and concludes with an introduction to scripting for Web interactivity and game development. Other Web enhancement applications may be taught depending on changes in technology. PREREQUISITE(S): None, but previous computer experience strongly recommended. Assessment Level(s): READ 120 . Four hours each week. Formerly CMAP 125.

Course Outcomes: Upon course completion, a student will be able to:
- Create graphics, with effective use of color and fills
- Import and export various types of web graphics
- Create animation using a variety of animation methods
- Create and name layers, add, delete and rearrange layers, and use layers for animation effects
- Create and manipulate buttons and movie clips
- Import and play sounds
- Use ActionScript to control the sequence of frames and display of movie clips
- Use Flash to create interactive games and learning interactions
- Create dynamic text, input text, static text, and to create graphic objects from text
- Export and display the Flash movie in a web page
