POLI 203 - International Relations (BSSD, GEEL, GCP)
Critical analysis of international problems. A survey of the concepts and problems of sovereignty and nationalism as well as the successes and failures of international institutions and organizations. Special attention given to the role of the United Nations in today’s world and to contemporary situations that affect world politics. Assessment Level(s): ENGL 101 /ENGL 011 . Three hours each week.

Course Outcomes: Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- Identify the major terms and concepts in International Relations.
- Demonstrate a general understanding of the history of International Relations.
- Be familiar with the major actors/organizations and their roles and functions in International Relations.
- Explain the major approaches and theories of International Relations.
- Apply and interpret the major theories and approaches to international events.
- Outline current challenges to the international system.
- Engage in critical analysis of current events.
