THET 201 - Intermediate Acting

Practice in textual analysis, scene study, and the process of developing characterization for performance in the theatre. PREREQUISITE(S): THET 110 or consent of department. Three hours each week.

Course Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:

Identify, define, and participate in auditions that require “cold readings” or “prepared pieces.”
Analyze plays, performances, and productions both orally and in writing.
Identify a process for character development and scene study.
Analyze text through advanced methods.
