TVRA 230 - Video Production II (R only)
Advanced theory and practice of video production skills acquired through practical applications in challenging studio and field production formats. In addition to further developing basic skills of lighting, camera operation, audio design and control room functions, students will demonstrate the ability to work effectively in both pre-production and production as television producers and effective crew members in a professional setting. PREREQUISITE(S): A grade of C or better in TVRA 120 and TVRA 140 . Two hours lecture, four hours laboratory each week.

Course Outcomes: Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- Identify and describe the responsibilities of Video Producer, Associate Producer, Director, Technical Director and Lighting Director as they pertain to various programming genre.
- Document pre-production planning to include program proposal, scripting, scheduling, set design, pre-produced roll-ins, and lighting design as well as content delivery and archiving methods.
- Plan, prepare and solve technical and logistical problems, leading a team of students, to successfully meet production deadlines using industry standard equipment in a television studio and on location.
- Collaborate and cooperate with fellow students to complete class projects in a professional manner, demonstrating respect for the equipment and facilities as well as the importance of accountability in a production team.
