BLDG 142 - Fundamentals of Woodworking

An introduction to the tools and techniques of woodworking. Topics include lumber properties and selection, joinery, shaping, hand and power tools, and finishing. One and one half-hour lecture, three hours lab each week.

Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:

Identify various wood types and properties.
Demonstrate hand tool usage.
Demonstrate power tool usage.
