This curriculum is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in the animation industry, which spans a variety of fields such as media, gaming, web design, forensics, and medical technology. As the industry continues to grow, the demand for skilled professionals also increases. Students will gain a solid understanding of key animation concepts while receiving hands-on experience with industry-standard tools, software, and motion capture systems. Montgomery College is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD).

Upon completion of this program, a student will be able to: - Demonstrate visual problem-solving capacity.
- Develop and employ skills necessary to proficiently apply the principles of animation in both 2D and 3D animation.
- Employ professional and effective workflows for creating both 2D and 3D animation.
- Analyze and discuss student-produced animation through structured peer review.
- Develop a portfolio representative of learned animations skills and techniques.
