KORA 201 - Intermediate Korean I Focuses on the study of Korean language and culture at the intermediate level. Students further their ability to communicate in Korean through an advanced consideration of cultural themes and a thorough review of Korean grammar to support increased focus on reading and composition. In-class work is supplemented by 20 hours of online homework. PREREQUISITE(S): KORA 102 . Three hours each week.

Course Outcomes: Upon course completion, a student will be able to:
- Communicate in the target language at an intermediate level in the skill areas of reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
- Apply linguistic structures supporting communication at the intermediate level of proficiency.
- Compose descriptive and narrative pieces.
- Discuss Korean culture in general and specific cultural practices at the intermediate level by using complex sentences.
- Discuss the relationship between Korean cultural practices and products under consideration at the intermediate level by using complex sentences.
- Exhibit appropriate sociolinguistic behaviors through oral presentations at the intermediate level as these correspond to increasing linguistic ability in Korean.
- Produce and present a cultural project at the intermediate level.
