PSYC 203 - Human Growth and Development During the Life Span Studies the life span; data, concepts, theories, and methods of contemporary psychology by focusing on the physical, intellectual, and social development of human behavior from conception through late adulthood. PREREQUISITE(S): A grade of C or better in PSYC 102 , or consent of department. Three hours each week.
3 semester hours
Course Outcomes: Upon course completion, a student will be able to:
- Describe the major theories of cognitive and socioemotional development across the lifespan.
- Evaluate the influence of culture on human development
- Apply theories of lifespan development, making appropriate use of primary source materials.
