PSYC 207 - Psychology of Women An introduction to the issues and research in the psychology of women. Topics include biological and social factors, gender roles, sex differences and similarities, mental health, pregnancy, menstruation, menopause, work, women of color, love relationships, and sexuality. PREREQUISITE(S): A grade of C or better in PSYC 100 , or consent of department. Three hours each week.

Course Outcomes: Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- Discuss the ways in which gender is influenced by social, psychological, cultural and biological variables.
- Discuss the impact of systems of gender on women’s lives domestically and globally.
- Think critically about psychological research related to women and gender.
- Recognize the diversity of women’s experiences across demographic and cultural groups.
