HMLS 202 - Introduction to Terrorism Introduces terrorism, ranging from low-level acts of threats and acts of violence that may represent significant risk to human life and property to large-scale acts of violence using “weapons of mass destruction” that may have devastating, long-term effects. Assessment Level(s): ENGL 101 /ENGL 011 . Three hours each week.

Course Outcomes: Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- Compare and contrast historical and contemporary terrorism.
- Compare and contrast various foreign and domestic terrorist organizations.
- Identify and describe terrorist tactics.
- List and define terrorist ideologies.
- Define and distinguish types of weapons of mass destruction.
- Explain the characteristics and goals of terrorism.
