BLDG 274 - Refrigerant Regulations and Safety Protocols (R only)
An advanced study of refrigerants and the environmental and safety impacts of their usage. Topics include current government and industry policies and regulations, safe and environmentally responsible refrigerant use, new and forthcoming products including A2L and flammable refrigerants. PREREQUISITE(S): BLDG 270 and BLDG 271 . Two hours each week.
2 semester hours
Course Outcomes: Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- Explain the environmental impacts of refrigerants and industry chemicals.
- Describe current affairs/policies on new and forthcoming refrigerant products.
- Describe A2L Refrigeration safety usages.
