MGMT 201 - Business Law Examination of the foundations of the U.S. legal system, focusing on those aspects of legal liability that might impose the greatest monetary penalties and damages on the commercial enterprise. Topics covered include the law of torts, product liability, accountants’ liability, business crimes, contracts, agency, and public policy issues dealing with ethics and international law. PREREQUISITE(S): BSAD 101 or MGMT 101 . Three hours each week. Formerly MG 201.

Course Outcomes: Upon course completion, a student will be able to:
- List the elements of a contract.
- Distinguish between a tort and a crime.
- Define and apply the process of civil litigation.
- Summarize international law concepts and list the elements of Internet contracts.
